Our client in Redhill wanted to refresh their outdoor space with a clean, welcoming layout that would allow for relaxation, light gardening, and low maintenance. The brief was to install a stylish patio for everyday use, incorporate vibrant flower planters to add colour and personality, and frame the entire space with a modern batten fence that offers both privacy and design flair.

Client Challenge
One of the key challenges we encountered during this project was the uneven ground across the garden, which required precise levelling before any installation could begin. This was essential to ensure the patio would be stable, safe, and long-lasting. Drainage was another important consideration to prevent water from pooling during heavy rain, we discreetly installed a drainage system beneath the patio. Finally, achieving harmony between the different materials was a subtle but crucial task. We carefully selected stone, timber, and planter finishes that complemented each other in tone and texture, creating a cohesive, balanced look that tied the whole design together.
The Solution
To address the uneven ground, we began by carefully grading and levelling the entire area to create a solid and even foundation for the patio. This ensured not only structural stability but also a smooth and safe surface for daily use. For drainage, we installed a concealed yet efficient system beneath the stonework, allowing rainwater to flow away naturally without disrupting the design. When it came to material coordination, we took a considered approach to selecting natural stone for the patio, warm-toned timber for the batten fence, and planters that echoed both materials in texture and colour. This thoughtful combination brought visual unity to the space, resulting in a finished garden that feels both elegant and effortlessly cohesive.
